“Roscartography”, “Rakurs” and “Roscosmos” will hold the II joint conference in St. Petersburg
The Organizing Committee of the II Joint International Scientific and Technical Conference "Digital Reality: Space and Spatial data, processing technologies" decided to hold the event in St. Petersburg on September 12-15, 2022.
The joint conference, one of the organizers of which was also the State Corporation “Roscosmos”, was well received by the professional community, aroused great interest among both profile private companies and government agencies. Taking into account the positive experience and wishes of the industry enterprises, “Roscartography”, “Rakurs” and “Roscosmos” State Corporation decided to hold the II joint conference "DIGITAL REALITY: Space and Spatial data, processing technologies" on September 12-15, 2022 in St. Petersburg. The Federal Service of State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) supported the conference and became its partner.
St.Petersburg is rightfully considered one of the centers of geodesy and cartography in Russia. A subsidiary of Roscartography, JSC “Aerogeodesy”, with more than 100 years of history, is located here, as well as a number of key enterprises of the “Roscosmos”. In addition, it was in St. Petersburg 20 years ago that the Second International Seminar of users of the PHOTOMOD system took place.
Cartography, geodesy, remote sensing of the Earth and photogrammetry create spatial information, without knowledge of which the functioning and development of the economy is impossible. The quality, accuracy and reliability of this information allow us to consider it as a digital model of real-world objects. This "digital reality" provides the spatial basis of the industrial revolution 4.0, allows you to build space-time models for the sustainable development of society and the transformation of economic processes.
The tasks set today for the cartography and remote sensing of the Earth are more ambitious than ever. Meeting the needs of infrastructure projects and implementing the digital transformation program of the economy require partnership between public and private companies, professional communities, science and education.
The development of any industry is impossible without establishing and maintaining business, and sometimes friendly relations between companies and specialists. The exchange of knowledge, experience, achievements leads to the emergence of ideas, the development of new solutions, the development and implementation of productive technologies, and, in general, moving forward.
The key goal of the joint conference is to build professional bridges between all market players, exchange regional practices and best solutions.
The scientific program of the conference will consist of plenary and breakout sessions, master classes and round tables. As usual, a rich cultural program awaits the participants of the conference.
